Yes. An account can be closed once it has no servers and nothing outstanding: no unpaid or overdue invoice, and no charges still waiting to be invoiced. There is no option to close an account yourself; our team closes it when you ask.
Please note that as BinaryLane is a post-paid service (that is, you are billed after you have used the service) you will receive a final invoice within the next 30 days for your usage up until cancellation.
How to close your account
- Cancel every server on the account. The steps are in Can I cancel at any time? Cancelling a server is final, and its disks and backups are deleted with it, so download anything you need first.
- Pay any unpaid invoice, including your final invoice once it has been issued. Open Billing in mPanel and pay by card or PayPal.
- Once the final invoice is paid, reach out and let us know you want the account closed. Open a ticket from your account's email address and ask us to close your account.
Once everything is paid and there are no servers on the account, we will close it and confirm on your ticket.
If anything is still outstanding when you ask, we will tell you what it is, and the account can be closed once it has been paid.
For what happens to your personal data when an account is closed, and what we keep, see Can I request the deletion of my personal data?
