To move a domain registered with BinaryLane to another registrar, obtain the domain's EPP (authorisation) code from your BinaryLane account and provide it to the new registrar.
Before you start: You need access to the BinaryLane account that holds the domain registration.
Get the EPP code
- Log in to your BinaryLane account and click the Domains button (
) from the left-hand navigation pane: https://home.binarylane.com.au/domains - Select the domain you would like to transfer away
- In the Registration section, click the top `Domain Password (AuthCode)` tab
- Click 'View Password' and copy the EPP code shown.
Start the transfer at the new registrar
- At the new registrar, start a transfer for the domain.
- Enter the EPP code when asked, then follow the registrar's remaining instructions.
If the EPP is rejected at the new registrar, go back to the 'Domain Password (AuthCode)' tab, click 'Generate New Password', copy the new EPP, and try again.
What the transfer changes
Domain registration, DNS hosting and web hosting are separate services. Moving the registration does not by itself change where your DNS records or website are hosted.
If you cannot view the EPP code or access the domain in your BinaryLane account, submit a support request.
