Your server is located in the region of your choice at the time of provisioning: Where are BinaryLane servers located?
Some GeoIP (geolocation) lookups may indicate that your server is not located in the region you chose (i.e. you purchased a Brisbane server, but the GeoIP lookup reflects the server's location as Sydney) - this is incorrect.
You can confirm your server's location by performing a `traceroute` from your server towards the region's Lookingglass, comparing the route latency between regions:
- Brisbane - https://bne-lg.binarylane.cloud/
- Sydney - https://syd-lg.binarylane.cloud/
- Melbourne - https://mel-lg.binarylane.cloud/
- Perth - https://per-lg.binarylane.cloud/
- Singapore - https://sin-lg.binarylane.cloud/

Example
This server has an IP address within the subnet 43.224.x.x and is located within Brisbane:
If we look on MaxMind (or similar geolocation services) to see what the GeoIP location of the server is, MaxMind shows the incorrect `Location` data:
We can confirm the actual location of the server is correct by performing a `traceroute` from the Brisbane BinaryLane Lookingglass towards the server:
The response time from the Brisbane Lookingglass is < ~5ms, compare this with the Sydney:
We can see that the route from our Sydney Lookingglass took 2 extra hops to reach the server with an average latency of 11.9ms. This indicates that the server is physically located in Brisbane, as the response time from the Brisbane Lookingglass is significantly lower than the response time from the Sydney Lookingglass.
