If you have an existing BinaryLane server and would prefer to run it from a different location, it will first need to be backed up, then cloned to another VPS in the target location.

The VPS itself cannot be migrated to a different location as IP addresses are not portable between locations.

This means the original VPS needs to be cloned onto another existing VPS in the target location, and the network configuration on the newly cloned server updated using the rescue console so that the correct IP is used.

The procedure to clone a VPS to a different location is detailed here - https://www.binarylane.com.au/support/solutions/articles/11000017653-how-to-transfer-binarylane-vps-to-melbourne
