Yes, you can change your server plan at any time. If you need more resources, you can upgrade your plan. If you need fewer resources, you can downgrade your plan.

You can change your server plan from our control panel at any time. The changes will take effect immediately, and you will be billed for the new plan from that point onwards. Change your plan here - https://www.binarylane.com.au/mpanel/change-plan

You are only billed for the resources allocated to your server as long as it has them - for example, if you increase your server's memory over the weekend, then decrease memory after the weekend, you'll only be billed for those extra resources while they were allocated to your server.

No data will be lost when you change your plan. The only thing that will change is the amount of resources available to your server. The IP address, configurations, and contents of the disk will remain intact.

It is possible to change from a VPS plan to a dedicated server plan, or vice versa, or even between other plan types. The cost of your server will be adjusted to reflect the changes you make.

It is important to note that changing memory, CPU cores, and disk space requires a reboot of the VPS to effect the change.

Downgrading your plan or storage requires enough free storage space on the current plan to accommodate the new plan. The system will not allow you to downgrade if there is not enough free space.

It is recommended to back up your data before downgrading your plan to avoid data loss due to insufficient storage space.

Example of a downgrade that requires enough free storage space:

If you are on a 4GB plan with 100GB storage and you want to downgrade to a 2GB plan with 50GB storage, you will need to have less than roughly 40GB of data stored on your current plan to accommodate downgrading to the 50GB storage plan. This is because the operating system services and any applications running on the server usually create some temporary files that take up space on the disk when the server is online.

Standard VPS plans

Your VPS plan can be customised at any time - memory, storage, and IPs can be modified independently of each other. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time.

CPU Optimised plans

BinaryLane's CPU Optimised plans provide dedicated threads that boost to 4GHz+, and are designed to provide a balance of CPU, memory, and storage for processor-intensive workloads. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, but only in tandem with CPU, memory, and storage, or storage alone if you have chosen a CPU Optimised plan with the lowest(or highest if downgrading) storage option for that plan level.

HDD Storage plans

Our HDD Storage VPS plans are designed for high-capacity slow archival purposes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time, but only in tandem with memory and storage.

Dedicated Server plans

Dedicated servers have a fixed configuration and limited customisation options. Each dedicated server plan has a fixed amount of memory, CPU cores, and two storage size options. You can upgrade or downgrade storage between the two options at any time, but you cannot change the memory or CPU cores of a dedicated server plan.

You can upgrade or downgrade your dedicated server plan at any time between the different dedicated server plans available, and like all other plan types, you can change from a dedicated server plan to a VPS plan, or HDD Storage VPS plan, or vice versa, as long as you have enough free storage space to accommodate the new plan.
